I grew up just outside of the Adirondacks on Lake Champlain in upstate, New York. It is a beautiful area of temperate forests, mountains, rivers, and lakes. I graduated from the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh in Spring 2009 with a Bachelor of Science Biology/Ecology. After graduation, I moved to southern Nevada for an AmeriCorps position at Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. There, I participated in aquatic invasive species control and active ecological restoration of the special desert spring ecosystems. I also discovered my career goals, which led me to University of Florida. I worked for a year as a technician in the Allen Lab, learning many new skills before beginning my Master of Science Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences.
In my spare time, I like to read, make crafts, and wood burn. Although I couldn't tell you many players names, I like watching baseball, hockey, and football. I enjoy traveling to new places and exploring new environments. I am always looking for great, new opportunities to challenge and expand my experiences.
